The Clicks Over Time graph provides a high-level view of your link performance, allowing you to visualize engagement trends and campaign impact.
What It Shows
- X-axis: Time intervals (Hours, Days, Weeks, or Months).
- Y-axis: Total number of clicks recorded.
- Area Trend: The filled area represents the cumulative volume of traffic.
How to Read It
- Sharp Spikes: Indicate successful marketing “bursts,” such as a social media post or newsletter blast.
- Flat Line: Represents steady, evergreen traffic or a baseline level of organic discovery.
- Gradual Decline: May suggest “content fatigue” where a link’s relevance is fading over time.
Bot Traffic
Automated traffic is a reality of the web. This graph helps you distinguish between genuine human engagement and automated crawlers or scripts.
What It Shows
This chart isolates clicks flagged by our detection engine as non-human. This includes search engine indexers (like Googlebot), social media link previews, and malicious scrapers.
Identifying Issues
- Correlated Spikes: If both your Clicks and Bot graphs spike simultaneously, a significant portion of that peak is likely automated rather than human.
- Isolated Bot Spikes: High bot activity without a rise in total clicks often indicates a “scraping” attempt or a vulnerability scan on your link.
- Healthy Baseline: Small, consistent ripples in bot traffic are normal, this is usually just the web’s infrastructure indexing your content.
